Having moved a few times as a military brat, and traveling to visit family spread across multiple time zones, I’ve always had an appreciation for travel, experiencing new foods, and cultures. I’ve been fortunate enough to work in the hospitality industry for the past 20+ years, which has afforded me the opportunity to travel pretty well (although my list of places to experience grows every day).
Having settled into a corporate position within the hospitality industry, being removed from the resorts, and unable to interact with guests in person, has only fueled my desire to continue traveling, experiencing new places and cultures, and try new foods.
The impacts of COVID-19 to our economy resulted in me furloughed and without the Monday through Friday grind to keep myself busy, and my brain active. While most would more than likely treat this time as an extended vacation or focus on looking for a job, I decided to enhance and learn new skills, while also looking for employment. Enter A Keene Perspective.
In the coming months I hope to share experiences (former and new) on travel, and food. In the meantime, go over and check out some of my previous posts on Florida Pours.
